This came accidentally through my email and luckily saw the show on January 22, 2019.
Los Angeles’ Business of Dreams is the project by Corey Cunningham (Mike Krol) is all about emotional catharsis.
The second album Ripe for Anarchy is a through-and-through ode to indie pop.
11 wonderful dreamy, breezy and upbeat catchy poppy lyrical music that makes you want to think about summer and lie on the grass looking at the clouds.
Parts of the music is reminisced to 90s New Order a-la “Regret” or something British indie pop from the late 80s/early 90s.
It is early in 2019 and hopefully make this on the best of 2019 list.
Ripe for Anarchy is out on Slumberland Records.

I’d give Ripe for Anarchy:

Today, Business of Dream is psyched to share another song from the album Ripe For Anarchy (Which I bought the vinyl at the show and sounds so awesomely dreamy pop!).
“N.R.E.A.M.” is a tune about the fashionable negativity that seems rule the mood and discourse of the day.
Says the song’s writer Corey Cunningham: “This song was my attempt to write something fun for the album. Of course it had to be the one song focusing on negativity but I think a dose of cynicism is quite healthy these days. Humanity isn’t exactly passing its classes lately so I decided to poke a little fun at the more coarse side of our nature. It’s my version of “Ring-a-round The Rosies.” Ashes, ashes we all fall down! Wee!”
Have a listen to the song.
Ripe for Anarchy drops on February 1, 2019 via Slumberland Records.
Today, Young Guv is back with a new track and music video called Traumatic.
Traumatic is taken from the upcoming 7-inch out this Friday on Slumberland Records.
Now, after a rather twisted 2016 of travel, change and discovery, Guv is back with this new single “Traumatic”. Recorded at home on trusty 1/4″ analog tape, it’s a self-reflective and personal audio snapshot that contrasts nicely with the loud ‘n’ gritty “Ripe 4 Luv.” “Traumatic” rides a bubbling programmed groove, blending echo-laden vocals with understated rhythm guitar and a catchy synth hook into a magical new wave roots-pop amalgam.
Have a look at the 80s inspired sounding track.
