bluesfest2017-lineup
Everyone is jumping for joy or dismayed on this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest 2017 line-up.
While we didn’t get U2 who is touring in support of the 30th anniversary for The Joshua Tree.
Nor we didn’t get Beyonce, Solange, Justice, Radiohead, The xx, Bon Iver, Kendrick Lamar and many more.

This year we got LCD Soundsystem which I am very excited!
Also on the bill is Tom Petty and The Heartbreaks (Everyone is going to be Freefallin’ and having Mary Jane’s Last Dance) to Muse to P!nk (Maybe Dallas Green will join on stage?) to The Shins and lots more.
Flume and Phantogram are the ones I am excited to check out.

Returning favorites Death from Above 1979, Tegan and Sara will surely get people excited.
While there are some which I will roll my eyes and not reveal which acts I will mention.

I was hoping that Japandroids, Mac DeMarco, Dirty Projectors, Timber Timbre, The Rural Alberta Advantage and Austra was going to perform this year since they have albums out this year.
Or maybe Broken Social Scene who have reunited and playing a few concerts.

There is alot of local acts playing in this year’s festival from Slack Bridges, Mushy Gushy, Fevers and Telecomo.

I’m not going to post the schedule, which you can simply click on to their site.

Who are you very excited to see?
The festival happens from July 6 – 16, 2017.
