Rich Aucoin dropped the second single plus music video for The Middle!
This track is making me all emotional and also a shorter song!
As quoted on Noisey:
“The Middle” is an extremely earnest, charming-as-hell reflection on the self at the midpoint of life and death.

Hold – EP drops on March 16, 2018!

Halifax band The Olympic Symphonium will drop their upcoming album Beauty In The Tension on February 9, 2018 via Forward Music Group.
So far the band has dropped a music video for Comedy and a track called Thanks A Lot.
Here are the details about the album.
Beauty In The Tension is the result of rural isolation, small comforts, and the discovery of two pairs of Dark Side Of The Moon pajama pants.

For six days last winter, Nick Cobham, Kyle Cunjak, Dennis Goodwin, and Graeme Walker holed up in the legendary Old Confidence Lodge studio in Riverport, Nova Scotia to focus on 13 new compositions. Working long days with the help and stamina of engineer Diego Medina, the band laid down a batch of songs that were road-tested and ready to be captured in this magical Oddfellows Hall-cum-studio.

Delicious home-cooked meals and harmony vocals were provided by Jennah Barry, a fellow resident of Nova Scotia’s south shore, and additional instrumentation was provided by Michael Belyea (Jenn Grant), Tim Crabtree (Paper Beat Scissors), and composer / arranger Drew Jurecka. Sonic inspiration came from Pink Floyd, guitarmonies, and Chicago power-ballads.

Casa Lagarto – Shed It [EP Review]

Finally after being shrouded in mystery.
Ottawa’s Casa Lagarto has finally released their debut EP.
It is called Shred and it is filled with (as they call it) “mirage rock, cactus bop and turkey hop” music.
To me, it sounds like a dirty western rock.
The members consist of Travis Kinnear (Fire Antlers), Arturo Portocarrero, Jason Barkhouse and Jonny Schofield (Ex-The Yips).
Overall Shed It is a solid effort for the band to give them a kick in the scene.
Hope to hear more materials if they release a full-length in the coming months or next year.

Best tracks

  • Lights Out
  • Shed It
  • Scarecrow

I’d give Shed It:
/ 10
The EP is available on all streaming platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, Bandcamp and etc!
